Research

My research for my PHD was about micromechnical modelling of powder compaction. More Specifically, I'm using a numerical method called the Discrete Element Method (DEM) where individual powder particles are modelled. A conceptual image is shown below. The project is mainly in the field of contact mechanics but programming and experiments are important parts of the project.

My master thesis was about multiaxial fatigue in co-operation with SKF ERC supervised by Prof. Bo Alfredsson. The work has resulted in two publications in International Journal of Fatigue
