A fixed-lag smoother for solving joint input and state estimation problems in structural dynamics
Ulrika Lagerblad presented her licentiate thesis on October 28th 2016. The thesis was titled “A fixed-lag smoother for solving joint input and state estimation problems in structural dynamics”. The reviewer was Prof. Thomas Abrahamsson from Chalmers.
In her research, Ulrika has investigated different numerical filters for joint input and state estimation, with the aim of designing a robust algorithm capable of monitoring the continuous motion and loading in a truck chassis. The proposed filter is capable of processing both measurement noise and model errors and has been verified through both numerical and physical experiments.
The research has been funded by Scania CV AB and was supervised by Associate Professor Artem Kulachenko and Dr. Henrik Wentzel.
