Dave Hannes defended his PhD thesis “ On fatigue crack growth modelling of surface initiated rolling contact fatigue using the asperity point load mechanism” on February 20th 2014. Professor Sylvie Pommier, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France, served as the faculty opponent.

Dave Hannes' research was funded by The Swedish Research Council and was supervised by Professor Bo Alfredsson.
